Yup, wanted a decent trip to run the engine in.
Some of the roads up in the Highlands are quite wide, smooth and very empty. Can have a bit of fun. Didnt see one copper for about 450 miles as well.
just wait for all the tickets to land on the door mat from the cameras on the A9 !!

Scotland has some great roads (just like North Wales used to have, until they installed the cash machines (police use only)).
We honeymooned in the Galloway area and my Megane Coupe (sorted on 17's and lowered suspension) never knew such driving . My missus loved every second of it, following the telegraph poles to judge where the road was going and judging the corners a few turns ahead, while she followed the maps to the next hotel was the best holiday we had (it was a driving holiday, touring the area and stopping at a different place every night, while seeing all the sights during the day)
We went to Chester today and bought a touch up kit for the Corsa, it's already copped a big scratch on the bumper (something once alive must have hit it, judging by the red stains along with the deep scratches). We've also replaced the broken PC printer with a nice shiny new Epson R300
think Clarkson likes to blat around Scotland as well, I can see why from your pics, especially if there are few cars about
