    Spraying tips

    Hi folks,

I got some new bits today that I have primed and sprayed to match my car.

The paint is nice and even with a smooth finish. What should I do before I apply any lacquer to ensure I get a good quality finish i.e nice and shinny !

    Ta much

    im bored !

    re: Spraying tips

put the can of laquer into a warm bowl of water for a few min &giv it a good shake. u then want to do a few layers of laquer (wait for each layer to dry) but do it from a distance cos u dont want any run marks.

when this is done it doesnt look shiney and is a bit rough still (dont worry!)

get som 1200dpi 'wet&dry' dip it in some water and go over it.

when this is done it looks duller but is smoother, then get some t-cut or sumin similar and go over it with a cloth. youll need to do this a few times but it gets shinier and shinier.

iv done this for my GSI spoiler and bumper and its worked perfectly, looks likes its been done perfessionaly.

Allan, if you decide not to do it urself give me a shout and i'll give you a number for the boy that just did my extension and stuff. He's quite resonable price wise.

I`ll give that place a ring (whats it called) and see how much it will cost to spray and fit my new front splitter and also the rear one i got today.
