Done this car last week, it came in for a 'non'-start problem, and I got a sensor in a bag as well.
Looked at the sensor and thought, thats weird it looks like a flywheel sensor, put me hand under the airbox for a feel :roll: me thinks that holes a bit big, so I rips out the airbox. :shock: Bloody hell look at the gearbox, huge hole in it:
Ok so I rip the gearbox out, first remove the starter motor and find this (you can't see it well but the end is missing and the teeth are broken):
So get g/box out remove clutch and find this:
And the finishing touch is the flywheel, all blue and teeth missing:
The car is a Citroen C3, it's only done 531miles, and we believe i'm the first person in the county to do a clutch/flywheel on one.
The bill came to over £1800 and thats with a recon gearbox as thats all Citroen will pay for.
Made me chuckle for a few days
