And LN thought his clutch was bad

Done this car last week, it came in for a 'non'-start problem, and I got a sensor in a bag as well.

Looked at the sensor and thought, thats weird it looks like a flywheel sensor, put me hand under the airbox for a feel  me thinks that holes a bit big, so I rips out the airbox. Bloody hell look at the gearbox, huge hole in it:

Ok so I rip the gearbox out, first remove the starter motor and find this (you can't see it well but the end is missing and the teeth are broken):

So get g/box out remove clutch and find this:

And the finishing touch is the flywheel, all blue and teeth missing:

The car is a Citroen C3, it's only done 531miles, and we believe i'm the first person in the county to do a clutch/flywheel on one.

The bill came to over £1800 and thats with a recon gearbox as thats all Citroen will pay for.

Made me chuckle for a few days

Agreed. My Megane spat the one of the selector arms through the side of the box. I took it in with a suspected oil seal failure and we started looking and found a chunk of gearbox housing missing. Odd thing was I still had every gear, including reverse

That pressure plate is mad

I had a clutch failure on my Nova GTE due to me caning it big style and shifting on full throttle. It got real notchy and snatched on gear changes, so when they dropped the cover off the springs out of the friction plate came out in shards. But to break the clutch cover disc?

    ****IN GOOD WORK FELLA

Who's name is on the logbook  ? A certain Mr Loeb just getting a feel for his new office perchance ?

Only pay for a recon  christ that can't be legal, I'd tell them I was going to reject the car.

Mind you I don't drive about riding the @rse of the clutch if thats the case here
