    Snapping Springs

Yesterday i pulled the car off the drive heard a bang got out and part of the rear spring has snapped off from the bottom. Now the car is 4 years old and i dont particularly thrash it so i was wondering is this normal to happen, an also is it safe to drive it, before i replace the springs in the next couple of days :? ? Thanx

Should be alright to drive, but take it easy.
Try it up and down the road first, see how it feels/sounds.
If your not sure, then don't drive it.

it is a common problem because of the speed ramps hit them too hard and thats what happens, standard springs are crap, dont drive it because i have seen the end of the spring on many ocations go through the tyre and the damage it causes for the sake of a new spring can be very expensive, change both sides as the other is bound to be weaker than a new one, i speak through experiance

my car hit 4 yrs this year and both my rear springs were snapped 1 inch from the bottom, nothing like a good reason to whack on some eibach lowered springs
