    Mk3 grille replacement - post 'V' to V style

I want to update the early Mk3 to the late mk3 'V' grille.

Am I right in thinking it needs 2 late plate headlights for this? - I've parked side by side with a late plater and cant seem to see the difference.

Also - it doesnt involve changing the indicators as well does it - as these list as a different type too.

apart from that I assume mounting points are the same.

(before anyone asks I've used 'search' to look for 'grille' and 'mk3')
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

    Hey.

You are correct. The Phase 2 grill does require a pair of Phase 2 Headlights aswell. The bulbs/fittings/clips are all the same so its a simple swop.

Its also not a noticeable difference unless you try and put a Phase 2 grill on Phase 1 lights, or vice versa.

Believe me though, it is there

    Best of Luck

as i suspected - typical - i take it on the underside of the lights and indicators are some securing points for the grille

Makes no odds mate. Indicators are only held in place by a screw

i changed the rear end of my old mk3 to have that black panel on at the back, simple enought, just need a pop rivet gun and a drill for the clips, the lock at the back will come off and the handle thingy on that is rplaced by one on the black panel, wel worth the work, breaks up the back end nicely!!
