    Vectra advice/opinions/help

Spotted a mint Vectra 2.5 V6 CDX at my local dealer, they have offered me the best p/x so far on my car and heres the spec of the veccy:

    2000 W reg
    2.5V6 auto
    Silver 4 door
CDX model with leather and all the toys
    75k with FSH

took it for a spin and it drives very well - so smooth and i think its well matched to the auto box, it was owned by some old dear that ownes a wool shop so its been looked after, not a chip or scratch on it and the interior is mint.

they want £5800 which i think is fair for a main dealer.

what should i look out for on a veccy of this mileage (75k), ive heard VERY mixed reviews from people on vectras, but this seems to be a lot of car for the money - any help appreciated.

CDX is the comfy of the range. Price wise seems ok, I bought my X reg 2.2 Sri with only 43k on the clock for £5600. So you may be able to barter a bit more

Have a look on www.vectra-sport.com for more advice

    Another one?!!?

lad me and you are goin to need to have a sit down next sat and talk about all this motoring business

I know you've got ur eyes open wide this time so if it looks worth it then go for it.

In terms of advice, id say dont listen to ur mate if he tells you to get a magnex backbox

The Vectra B was a dreadful car, the few I have driven rattled and felt like driving a bed. If you really want six pots and an auto 'box get an Omega or Carlton, or Senator for that matter. Near invincible cars if serviced.

We never had any hassle with our Veccy B, it was only a 1.8 Tourer on an R-plate so it was pre-facelift but it was nice to drive and reliable.

That one sounds a bit expensive for 75k miles, there must be plenty of Veecys around within your price range.
