    Astra suspension at high speed

I have a Mk3 2.0 Sport, does anyone know if it uses the same suspension as the GSi cos at high speeds, It just doesnt feel like the old sow is flat to the road. It just doesnt insipre me with confidence.

Car has done 50k, not had it long so I dont care if I replace it in the near future.

If it doesnt share the GSi suspension then I couls get that on or go for Spax?

Whos got a GSi and how well does it handle, and what other suspension have you used on Mk3. I dont want a massive drop, would consider 30mm ish.

re: Astra suspension at high speed

I had spax and the springs sag, not very good tbh.

i've got G-Max full kit and it's very good, probabley help that i've done all the polybushes.

One thing also is when replaceing the shocks/springs do the strut top mounts at the same time.
Cant Think of Anything Funny To Say

whats the wear on the tyre like it could be the camber is not set right, i also would recommend lowering it to about 40mm with broader tyres for better grip even spacers might help, but it needs setting up right for speed

Havnt had the car long then put 17" wheels on and its fine upto 80ish, then when tearing round conrners it just doesnt feel like its glued to the floor. Almost like it wants to lift off the road, like the car feels light and not pinned to the floor.

Its defo the suspension, I can feel the grip in the tyres, Yoko A539's.

So I need to know whats the best kits budget wise ofcourse, Im not spending £600+ on adjustables. Spax PSX are about £350 and seem a middle of the road kit??

£350 is top so if anyone can sugguest kits around that mark, would be great. I will do a search for G-Max on the net.

    Car is tracked up right.

The Gmax stuff is basically bilstien suspension so very good .What you are describing is your suspension is worn out , get Gmax or Eibach suspension (if eibach do springs or shocks for Mk3 astras). This should sort your suspension out, then get a full alignment , all sorted .
