    Engine Flush - Whynns £3.99.

    Hi

    I am going to put this in b4 service... how long (max) should it be in engine... would i damage anything if it was in 1 day before service etc.

    use STP and run engine till norm temp do it from cold max 15 mins then drop it and use synthatic 5w 30 ideal for hydrolic lifters

    i think it says youre not meant to drive the car with engine flush in (maybe wrong though)

    i,ve tried various engine flush's and they all say different things .
    some say pour it in with the oil run engine for 5-10 mins then drain it out.
    others have said you can drive upto 100 miles with it in your engine then drain it .
    so its hard to say mate ,different brands say differet things . :?

    If your car is being done @ a Vauxhall dealer, I am fairly certain that they use an engine flush when they service it

    If you do an oil change regularly the car shouldn't need engine flush
