    vectra c turbo tunners?

    Dont know if anyone saw my post about my mate in his vectra c in the spotted section.

    to cut o long story short he bumped into someone in an astra gsi mk4 that whiped his ass.
    his excuse was that the traction control kept kikking in

    Anyway, he's not happy and want to start tunning his up, does anyone know of anybody that does stuff yet for this car?

    its a vectra c 2lt turbo sri on an 03 plate

    It depends if its a Z20LET running less boost or the Z20NET, there will be something out for it sooner or later. Speak to AMD and see what they can do . Got any pics of the engine and intercooler setup ?

    It will be the Z20NET as the Vectra does'nt run the Z20LET.

    The best place to get these tuned is Abbot Racing (Saab Specialist). As Saab use the Vauxhall engine they have I beleive a tuning package available.

    Courtenay and AMD will over the next 12 months offer tuning packages also.

    Cheers mat & manch, yea its defo the z20net which i understand is a detuned version of the saab engine, i was told today buy a guy at a local mod shop that the saabs run nearly 250bhp standard and that its just a case of swapping the ecu, not so shure on that but it soulds worthy of a look

    The Z20NET runs pretty high compression, 9:1 which i thought would limit tuning.

    The Saab runs the Vauxhall engine, not the other way round. I hate when the press get it wrong.

    There is not a new 9-3 that runs 250bhp, there never has. The Saab 9-3 has the following line up.

    1.8t = Z20NET 2.0 Turbo 150BHP
    2.0t = Z20NET 2.0 Turbo running 175bhp, exactly the same as the Vectra Turbo but with a 5 speed.
    2.0T = Aero Z20NET running 210BHP.

    the 1.8t and 2.0t are identical units with the 1.8t being restricted to 150BHP. The 2.0T 210BHP is the same engine with a bigger turbo. Although the 175BHP engine can be comfortably tuned to approx 225-230BHP, the 210BHP engine has to have that extra tolerance, therefore this can be tuned to circa 275bhp.

    These engines are exactly the same as the Vauxhall 2.2 ecotec Z22SE but stroked to 2.0 and blown.

    Manch, the New Astra Mk5 SRiT is running a restricted Z20LET.

    Nice info , you know how heavy the new Mk5 is ? . Just imagine a tuned Mk5 could be a beast to contend with .

    Should be manch. But unfortunatly I would have thought the MK5 will be heavier than the MK4 I would have though. But a tuned 240BHP Mk5 VXR.........Now your talking.
