    insurance claim

Ive just had a letter sent today from my insurance company saying that the third part wish to make an offer to settle now. tell me if you think i should except, read below

I refer to the above matter and have now heard further from the third party insurers.

They are currently making further investigations into liability however in the meantime are prepared to agree figures for your settlement. Subject to liability they value your claim for injury at £500.00, they agree your claim for loss of earnings at £58.37 and will offer £15.00 for incidental expenses.

Now on top of that ill get my excess money back.

nows the hard part, should i just except this offer knowing that i could get more if i take it further or take it further and risk losing it all (except the excess)

what was your injury if you don't mind me asking?

if it was a headahce then take it... if it was something more serious then depends on the injury

it was nothing bad , i strianed my neck which caused it to swell. it was not whip lash as far as im concerned but i did have to goto to hospital and get check as my neck was stiff etc.

I basicly took a front side impact on the drivers side, the gut hit my door and front wing trying to be clever.
i was turning in to my drive when a guy who had been tailgating me then tried to be clever and overtake as im turning in. luckly there are witness and he has on tape and paper admited he was in the wrong.

personally i want to take it further as in my eyes he is totaly to blame and he's admiteded that, but its got to the point now that i just want my excess money back at min and it to be forgoten. the excess alone is £400

but you can bet that if i take it further then something will go wrong and bite me in the ass

Well for whiplash and a Twisted knee I got 4k from the insurance plus my wages for the month off work paid back and £250 for my dad for the inconveinance of taking me to work, hospital ect. I could of got a grand or so more but I seen the green and took it.

I would hold out for more or talk to a solicitor.

A mate of mine had a small backender and the solicitors put in for whiplash, which give him a nice payout of £1500 but its entirely up to you, if you feel its suitable / adiqaute enough and your happy with the settlement then take it.....

though being "me" in that situation (i hope it ever aint though ) i would take it further as that would be taking the pish me thinks.

    Best of luck.
