    Chipped GSi anyone?

Can anyone tell me what the GSi Turbo is like with just a 'superchip' in it. I fancy just having this done because I don't want to be messing with the airfilter or putting a different exhaust on or any other mod.

IF you mean altering the map, then just do it. Superchip is actually an old method now, and there is much better available for this vehicle.

The Superchip is not very good VFM for the Z20LET nowadays. It is not a chip as such, just a remap like AMD, Courtenay or Regal supply. The AMD, Mantzel and EDS maps are better than the Superchips one and give more power gains.

    re: Chipped GSi anyone?

I'm just interested to know what the car feels like if you know what I mean. How does it accelerate, is the power higher up the revs or is it still as flexible, whats the fuel economy like?
What puts me off really is the fact that I can drive my car quickly alot of the time yet it still gives me acceptable fuel economy.

Fuel economy will of course be worse. You can still drive it like a girly and get decent MPG, when its chipped with the extra power that does prove to be more difficult !!

Have a look at these plots Matt, these are from one of the early AmD remaps on my old coupe turbo

I can also recommend the VMAX ecu upgrade. Ive had it on my car for the last few weeks, in back to back comparisons with another Turbo it makes a big big difference. If you have a look on www.wallaceperformance.co.uk theres details about it on there.
