whats the odds of gsi prices dropping this year?

really am tempted buy a gsi, but the price is still putting me off.
they are worth every penny of it, but realistically affording it could be a toughy.

civic type r's are relatively cheap in price now, but astra seems to have plato'd at the moment.

i do like the sri t, but without sounding selfish, the gsi has more bang for its back and seems that little bit more special.

coupe turbo i did think about, but looks like any other coupe bar the wheels to the average non-car person. the gsi looks special.

not sure bout the sri-T bein super-special to me? i mean, sure, its a million times better than mine, but jus the first time i saw a GSI was moving! :!: it just was and is the top of the range, an does prove it with the kit, wheels etc (IMO!)

so i would agree with adam, id wait an get the gsi at a reduced, if not NOW!

You will fond the GSi's will drop in about 8-10 months time once the new Turbo Astra's are in circulation.

    But not massively.

i would hold out a little longer on a gsi mate or the sri turbo as both are going to drop in price soon.
personaly i would go for the gsi i think its more refined than the sri-t

I've always found the SRi T to be more special than the GSi's, for starters they are a limited edition, I think the kit is nicer on them, the GSi kit is a little bland I find but I really like both sets of wheels.

Out of the 2 I'd choose the SRi T everytime.

Who knows, The GSi will always command more money due to being what it is.

But I would say they won't drop below £10K for a least another 12 months or so. Not for good ones anyway. High mileage ex company cars etc will be cheap but won't be as good.

Look at the old Astra GSi, the last Ecotec ones, good low mileage ones are still fetching £5-6000 and they are now coming up to 8 years old.

I would say the residuals on the Mk4 GSI will be better than the Mk3 were as it is a better car.

Has anyone got any production figures for the SRi-T and the GSi? Just wondering because although the SRi was claimed to be a LTD Ed they didn't produce the GSi for very long either.
