    Is this normal or is it wear / faulty

    Hi

    Looking down the oil cap at the bar there is a lot of wear is this normal or should i get a warranty claim at the dealers sorted out...

    Thats perfectly normal mate - that's the bit between the important bits (ie the cam lobes)

    Your seeing the rough cast bit inbetween the shiney bits..

    PS why is that bit all scuffed almost flat looking at one side.

    The 'scuff' marks are where they have taken bits off to balance the shaft.

    I see... I was thinking earlier that if these scuffs were done by wear in the engine then the sharts would be unbalanced... but from reading what you said about them being there to balance tha shaft makes sense now.

    Its just where they ground down the casting lines. the shaft is balanced out by the lobes being opposities.
    Corsa C LEH 4x4?
