fitted my oil filler cap from pete

Fitted my oil filler cap of pete just. wich I must say is fantastic qualtiy totally flawless.

Was problem fitting as these caps are based off a cap for a Z20LET and not my humble 1.6 16v, but after a little cutting and modding its on and looking bling tastic.

There is a little clearance but all in all nothing to worry about as the seal is perfect.
heres a couple of pics I have just took.
Heres the little clearance not fantastic pic but it is late

I will write a little how to but it is very simple to do, just a matter of cutting of the two tabs sanding so they are perfectly level and bonding into place, I used loctite. and seems to be holding tight.

I need to work out how mu oil cap comes apart - there are no visable gaps to force anything into.

May have to buy a new one to be on the safe side.

Well a big screwdriver was needed to leaver out the black cap, had to break off some of the yellow cap to get to the guides to leaver it out but it just poped out. could of easily put the old one back together. but not all the caps are the same.

So could we just buy a different connector and attach Petes cover? I have the same engine as you Brett.

Sorry guys I didnt realise I was picking up either caps, so I didnt take enough money with me to pay for all 3. sorry. But pete will send them up for pence. And you guys wont be disapointed with the quality.

Ritchie I used my exsiting cap took of the yellow cap, witch leaves you with the black centre peice. when the centre peice is out you will see to tabs at the top of the black cap.(carnt mis them) cut them of and just sand the edge of the outer rim so its level, line up onto the chrome cap and run a bead of glue all the way around the cap to bond it into place Make sure its set and enough bonding is there so it strong and volia is bling tastic.
