    Remove the original head unit.
Remove the bolt at the back of the original cage.
Using a screwdriver, carefully lever the top & bottom edges of the original cage together then pull out.
Unclip the wiring harness & aerial plug as you remove the cage.
The screws at either side hold the centre console in place on the dash, do not remove them.

Yours might be the Alpine that needs a direct feed live, because of the higher power.

Time to run a direct live from the battery (fused of course).
If your not sure, then pay someone else to do it.

As M40COO quite correctly says, the 9812RB is an Alpine High Power head unit.
You need to run the main power feed direct from the battery.

i managed to get it fitted and its now up and running.

took me all day goin to and from shops getting bits and pieces.

i eventually managed to connect the main power feed, earth lead to the iso adapter already on the head unit. i connected the leads to pins which fitted the adapter and didnt need to cut any of the cars wires.

btw you dont need a direct live feed to the battery. as the power is already there in the cars iso connector you can simply connect the power lead from the headunit to this.

    cheers anyway guys

ps; il put up a pic tmrw
