You may have a different roof setup. I have one and it fitted within minutes. Tried to fit one to a friends 2.2 and it doesn't line up !

I got one for mine and it didn't line up correctly, so after a bit of thought and a search on good ole Astra-Sport, I had to got down this route...

fitted a sunglasses holder at the weekend, and they only fit a 'G' with a bit of modification.

Remove brass bushes - they just push out.

Carefully cut the back of the mounting plates flush to the flange (love that word) - ie remove spikey prongs and oblong bump to leave a flat surface. Did mine with a stanley knife.

Offer up to headling and mark where holes are to go.

Drill through original blanking plates and into underlyingbodywork (be careful only one layer of metal) - 2.5mm drill is ok.

Open up holes in blanking plates to same dia as brass bushes.

Assemble bit with brass bushes and screw up through blanking plates.

    Admire your work.

As LordNikon said some just drop in without and work and some have to do the above.

The sunglasses holder is designed for the Mk3 Corsa, so it is not a direct fit to the Astra
