    Alternatives to an fm modulator????

i need help on this chaps, iam trying to do the sat nav dash mod with tft screen. my alpine unit has no aux inputs and my cd changer knocks out the possibilty of plugging an aux lead into the cd input. the fm modulator sound quality is pants and the only option available to my knowledge is an alpine module that hooks up to the cd input and gives you two changer inputs and two aux inputs, the thing is that it costs !130!!!!! please help if there is another option available.
    Cheers Rich.

i have found a cheap alpine solution to this problem! an alpine Ai-interrupt box NVE-K200. costs £40 and involves disconnecting the changer, plugging this box inplace of the changer then plug the changer into this box. feed the pink/black wire from box to a switch then through to the head unit connecting to same coloured wire. and there we have it a saving of £90! only difference is that you have to flick a switch when in changer mode, not exactly the end of the world!
    Cheers Rich.
