    PIO-DEHP77MP + PIO-806 Steering wiring kit questions

Im looking at getting these from Caraudiodirect and have just a few questions that someone may know

What is displayed on the MFD when this unit is on during Radio and CD

Do the functions of the steering control remain the same on the pioneer.

Im looking for a stereo that will sound good and thats not too complicatoed. I hate changing the BASS/TREBBLEetc all the time when a song with more bass comes on......

    Thanks

    Rob

    Right,

    The date is displayed.
    Functions are :
Left hand side: up track, down track, source
Right hand side: Up volume, Down Volume, ATT (mute)

The small button on the top left is the EEQ button, with preset, and user defined equaliser settings.

    It's a nice stereo.

I Have the same model and the radio control is simlar to standard but you lose the station preselect because that button is now the source button - annoying to be honest but the sound of the unit more than makes up for it. Excellent buy.

One more point worth noting is that the steering wheel controls do not illuminate I asked pioneer and they said that it is the case, nothing you can do.

    Clear things up.
You don't lose the ability to change the station preselect, if you hold the button for just the right amount of time it does change, too long and it tries to tune it.
Just takes getting used to. (honest)

The main use of the steering controls is the volume, and the mute.
The steering wheel controls do illuminate if you connect a wire, someone on here has done so. (I'm not bothered about that)

Yes I bought it from caraudiodirect,

There is a long post on Steering Wheel Control Lights - I have a P77 and finally got it all working!

The "track up" button on the remote adaptor sometimes goes down instead, but I can live with that... Cracking Unit.
