    Hand Brake help - TWANG!

    Hi peeps,

My friend went to pop the bonnet on his 1999 Astra G and the cable went twang! It is still connected so it must have broken @ the bonnet end

Any hints and tips on how to get the bonnet open to fit the new cable? At the moment we are thinking of forcefully removing the grill from the outside but this could be expensive

Please feel free to PM me if you feel that Theiving Scumbags might use your replies to gain access to Astra's

    Thanks guys.

    Rob.

Depending where it's snapped, you may be able to reach up from underneath with a pair of pliers. :?

See if you can get a long screwdriver up inside the grill and prize the locking rod away from the locking peg

Mine went but it didnt snap just slipped and I could still undo it with a push, vaux just tightened it.

You could always go to a vaux garage and ask them
