    Richbrook Ariels

Has anyone got, or ever had one of these fitted to their motor? What's the radio reception quality like?

They're on eBay for £17.00 'Buy It Now'

Also, I noticed these smart tax disk holders... Laser etched Richbrook jobbies. You guys may have seen them before but they're new to me. I think I might just treat myself to one.

Get yourself a aerial from halfords mate. Think you can get silver and black, are 3 different lengths in one packet and are only £12

Not noticed any radio reception problems with mine in the medium length

I know it won't deter sticky fingered little Pikey's snapping it off and damaging the base, but are the Halfords ones 'anti-theft' Autosparks?

Believe me your better off with a screw in one and not the anti theft.

Unscrew it yourself if in a dodgy area. If you use the tamperproof ones the little buggers wreck your base which is an arse to change.

These ones need the allan key for removal and they can be cut to size.

They look pretty smart as well.

I have the Halfords one as well, medium length and no discernable reduction in radio reception.

It is well made, the base has a little flex in it like the OEM one and it is the closest look to the the original as well (if you get a black one)

I put a drip of threadlock (Loctite) in when I put the adaptor screw in, so that I can take it out and refit it easily for the car wash, or dodgy areas, as Techie said

MIne is the halfords one in black on its shortest setting and there is a reduction in the signal. I put a silver one on my mums honda jazz and put it on its longest setting and she never loses reception.

I got the black halfords one too. On shortest I can hardly get any radio. But on medium it's fine
    Well worth the cash IMHO
