    Stone chips?

Whats the best thing to do about stone chips? I've got a couple which seem to have taken off the upper layer of paint. I'm not to bothered by the fact that it ruins the paintwork (only because its really small and in an obscure place) but I am worried about weathering eating at it, getting under the paintwork and rusting it like a disease.

I could use some touch up paint, but this protect the area from weathering too? Would I need any special touch up paint and if so, where can I get this from? Thanks for the help in advance

Does touch up paint protect again weathering (e.g. rust) as well though?

    bumpers dont rust.

Not much happens due to weathering, mainly only if its been subjected to alot of water and you have gone rght through the paintw hich doesnt happen often.

If your that worried touch it up.

it's unlikely for a stone chip to go right down to the metal, i've never had one get futher than the undercoat

but in theroy if you touch up the damage early enough it should prevent oxsidisation

Thanks for all your help. Does anyone know if you can get the Vauxhall Carbon black touch up paint from Halfords or can you only get it from Vauxhall garages? Thanks
