    de-badged

    de-badged my coupe today and what a differance it makes to the back of the car. i was going to deristict the airbox as well but couldnt get the top part off :roll: . if anyone has done it could the y tell me how they did it.

    It should unclip i think. Does it have brackets all around it EVO?

    no it is screwed in place. i can get the screws undone but cant get the top cover off due to the pipe being in the way

    Ive got a 2.2 and Ive derestricted it....Give me a min, I forgot what you had to do. Ill pop me head under bonnet.

    OK, remove the torque screws like before, and pull the little pipes that go around the lid off for good measure (only cliped on). Then just take a 10mm ( i think) spanner and undo the jubille clip holding the intake pipe onto the lid. Remove the lid and pull out (with a bit of brute force and ignorance) the pipes. Its easeyer to remove the lower one with the box out. To do this, undo the Tork screw in the middle of the rear box bracket to remove the bracket. Then push the box back against the suspention strut and ease the back edge up so the latch at the front of the box is gently pulled from its gromet. Dont be ham fisted or you will probably break it.

    You get the Idea anyhow!

    I've still got to de-badge mine. Did it once and put the badges back because I was bored, now I am bored again and am goig to de-badge it again!!!

    I don't know I'll probably badge it again in a few months.
