    Traction control?

Whats the traction control like on your astra turbos i still spin in wet and the revs still go right up to the redline with tc light on but ive heard that it cuts the revs right down to stop you spinning.

If you have switchable traction control, it is only working when the light is off. If you press the button and the little warning light becomes solid, it is telling you that your TC has been disabled.

It should flicker in operation, telling you that the TC is functioning

No, it cuts the engine power by a fixed amount which helps cut out the understeer.

The TC control will cut the torque of the engine by up to 50% only, any more and could be unsafe. If there is insufficient grip for the car to get traction with 50% torque then it will still wheel spin.

If you want to shoot out of everywhere with the pedal in the carpet then you need to get a launch control system, like they fit to rally cars

    bwhahahahahaha........

Tell me your part# and i'll look :P
Otherwise, do what i did, find the part#, and email bosch directly, verify with them and they'll send you the circuit diagram (which is what i have) for the connectors!! It's simple, i can almost guarantee it's pin 31, even tho it has been partially pre-wired in your cars!

    [edit ]

The vauxhall part number for ABS/ TC control units for the 2.2 is 9193484

The Bosch part number is 1273004517.

There you have it! As i remember, you needed a mirror to look around the back of the unit, and it's on a white sticker there, or on top engraved in teh alloy, pretty sure it's the back of the unit itself!

P.S. Bosch claim that all abs/tc ecu's were the same in the astra G, except for the ESP version
