    Air con ?

    When turning the air con on (pressing the AC Max button), does this reduce engine power ?

    Jus need to know

    Yes, well that is what I've found with mine anyway. Makes a remarkable difference to me.

    Drive about with the aircon on for a few days then switch it off and it will feel like you driving a turbo.

    Forgot to add...if you don't already know, aircon burns more petrol too.

    Needless to say I rarely use the aircon.

    I agree with the Air Con using more fuel, but you should use it for about 10 minutes per week to let the fluid run thru the system & lubricate the compressor, seals, joints etc otherwise one, two or all could fail leaving a massive repair bill

    i know what you mean man the difference is quite considerable i thought my corsa GSI (I have a 1.8 sri 125bhp)was faster now i know why
