    wanted: flush taigate

    any got a flush tailgate 4 sale or know anywhere i can get one from. its for my mk4 astra

    no one will be selling one I bet there are only about 10 in the UK.

    You will have to get a bodyshop to weld in a panel and then fibreglass, filler it in to make it smooth.

    Should cost you around £400-£450 sprayed I reckon.

    forgot to say dont forget you will need a solenoid to pop the boot open, a button to pop it but can not be in the car as it will not open. Also you will need a number plate recess in your blumper, the old number plate light smoothed over and a new one located above the new plate recess.

    the button cant be on the inside? whys that?

    did you relocate the number plate light or just scrap it all together?

    the boot is so heavy when you have a smooth boot, if you press the button on the inside the boot pops then closes back down again due to the weight.

    I put mine on my alaram, you have to press the button on the fob and lift the tailgate with your hand. You could in theroy get much stronger lifters to open it all the way for you, but they would have to be strong.

    The number plate light was scrapped alltogether on mine and we used the mk3 astra rear number plate lights.

    what bout ur doors did you have to have a button for them or did they work off the alarm too?
