Was my car broken into today¿

Weird thing happened today; I parked in park-&-ride while I was at work. I remember locking my car and then dead-locking it, but when I came back at around 4:30, my baby was unlocked! Ether that or I missed the lights flashing as I unlocked it, but it’s unlikely as I tried to unlock it a few times as I got closer! But then when I got inside, the front and side windows were properly steamed up like someone had been shagging in there!!!! The funny thing is, nothing was stolen, I had cd’s and my radar detector in the glove box and about £10 in change in the ash tray
Do you think I’m being paranoid and there might be another explanation for the very steamed up windows, or did someone get it on in my car!? =\ Plus how did they open it with the deadlock on!
    Any ideas?

I checked the door handle just now mate, it appears undamaged, surly even if they were able to mess the lock up, the deadlock would stop them getting any further? It’s the deadlock that worries me, because even if the central locking did pop up, wouldn’t the deadlock still be in place?

I used to find mine unlocked all the time. I now just carry my keys till I'm out of range of the car then pop them in my pocket. since I started doing that I've not had the problem.

The only sign that anyone had been in the car was the excessively steamed up windows, the rear view mirror was also out of place!
Hopefully you’re right about the keys opening the car whilst in my pocket, I never really thought about that happening until now, but it could well have happened as I went to catch the bus into town!
I’ll hold onto them until I’m out of range from now on!

well i dont know if this could happen to vauxhalls also but my ex had a new mini one, we were in a multi story in glasgow, when we came back from shopping(what a fun day :? ) there was another one next to it, when she unlocked hers the one next to it unlocked too, wrote the person a note to tell them then locked theirs and went away,
or maybe it was someone who wanted a car like yours so somehow got passed your deadlocks with out causing damage sat in your seat adjusted the mirrior then went away?just a thought
