    What's The Difference??

In power between the 1.6i 8V and the 1.6 16v?

Can you notice the difference while driving?

I think the difference in power is in the region of 10Bhp, not exactly sure so don't quote me . Where you would notice the difference is when you rev it higher up the rev range, plus the 16v is a newer engine and more tunable than the 8v.

the 8v's power is much lower in the rev range, also a lower ratio box

diffrence in bhp is about 10-15bhp

i'd say the cars were pretty similar performence wise up to about 50mph

having said all that the 16v engine is the better bet, as it's of a newer design, and genrally a bit faster for the same money
