Astra G UK Brake Recall - anyone else had a letter?

Got a recall notice through from Vauxhall today, for the FRONT brakes on my Astra.

Apparently the car needs to go in for an undisclosed reason, to have the calipers checked and replaced if necessary. Has anyone else had this letter and what model do you have?

Don't panic everyone, recalls are sometimes just a gimic to get people into the dealers.

Also letters are never sent to everyone at the same time as a dealer can't handle 2000 people wanting to come in straight away.

Bet ya there is at least 50 recalls on the mk4 astra, at least

Why? most of them are a waste of time, dangerous cars are recalled straight away.

It might be some thing silly like the washer is 0.005mm to thick or the brake pipe might be not in the correct mounting point.

I can tell you then all for the Renaults and Citroens

I went to the dealer today and they said that they have to check a cast code on the caliper and if it is wrong they will need to replace the calipers
