any ideas on mods????
got about £800 to spend on my babyyyyyyy
And not sure about that wood inside personally. Other than that, looks great !
how do! get some nice big wheels mate ! looks nice, wheels will set it off...
as LN says not sure on the wood but each to their own.
nice.. like that, but as said before new wheels/suspension will def. make that car..
oh, and the best thing i did this weekend was to debadge the car.. easy.. just a little elbow grease to get the glue off, but it was free and looks great.. so maybe lose some badges (not the middle one) ?
theres loads you could get, obviously. best bet is to check the gallery and maybe some sites and see if you see what styles you like - then the good people here will no doubt have loads of suggestions for you!
nice looking car there mate and welcome to AS.
If I had £800 this is what I'd do:
Debadge the rear for sure. The vauxhall and the Astra badges will come off with gentle warming with a hair dryer and an old credit card. Then wash and polish up the boot and it'll look neat.
Some second hand alloys will look good too, since your budget is £800 half that should score some 17s - more for 18s ( which will look better but take more of your budget and more for tyres ) - There are alloys going through the for sale / wanted forums here from time to time, have a look. You need 5 stud wheels for yours.
Anyway you've spent say half your budget with the above. Next up maybe tinted windows, just a light classy tint. Looks great on silver cars. Say £150-£200 for a good job.
Paint the brake calipers. Again helps clean up the car a little. This will cost about £20 and can be done yourself.
Philips Silver Vision bulbs for the front headlights and the rear lights... will get rid of the orange ( 'fried egg' ) effect - but they still light up orange and are totally legal. About £15 a set ( I think? )
Set of lowering springs. e.g. 30mm eibachs about £120 ish. Improves handling a lot and lowers the stance. A must if you get bigger alloys on it.
De-restrict the airbox and shove a £25 PVD panel filter in there.
Prob have some cash left from all that too me thinks!
ShaanK. BMW E92 335i Msport and BMW E83 2.5i X3
18s will go on provided you get the right offset.
Defo needs some alloys. Looking nice
18s will be fine with the correct offset and tyre size.. brilliant :grin:Originally Posted by billp22
