PC9-806 Steering Wheel Adapter for Pioneer

Got my DEH-P77MP head unit and PC9-806 steering wheel control adapter today.

People were asking about compatability with their Pioneer models.
The Pioneer head units must have a hard wired remote, and a jack socket on the back like the one circled below.

The lead is actually made by Autoleads.
Can't wait to fit it later.

Does this mean I'll have to buy a Pioneer remote control as well as the PC9-806 to connect it to my steering wheel controls or is the socket enough?

If your headunit has the 'hard wired remote jack socket thing' then all you need is the PC9-806.

You might be getting confused with the optional Pioneer remote that is strapped onto the steering wheel.

But you dont need that if you're using the PC9-806.

I'll fit it all tomorrow at lunchtime.
