    Insurance

    Is Everyone declaring all there mods to the insurance, im only 19 and insurance is a nightmare. Especially with Mods. Any idea on how to help?

    Most of us are paying many hundereds for insurance - theres no point in paying all that to get invalid insurance and get no cash in the event of a claim because of undisclosed mods.

    Always tell them about any changes to cover your own back.

    i didnt declaire my stereo when i changed it from standard, probably would hav got done for it, just glad i didnt need to declaire anything last year, your insurance will be void if you dont delclare everything so u would be in some deep poop!

    What mods do you actually have col182uk ? If its just an air filter etc, I wouldent say anything. At the end of the day it all comes down to if you have an accident, what sort of damage you cause. If you plough into someones house then the insurance company will send out a claims assessor. Though if its for a minor claim they wont, as its just not worth it!!

    PS Most companies cover non-standard stereo equipment etc upto £500 as standard, you dont need to notify them this.

    see thats the honest way to do it. course you could always forget and declare your mods later...
