I'm paranoid mine isn't exactly quiet on tickover. Not sure if its normall :? , still its under warranty tho

I'm gonna get rid of this unleaded shite, (got caught out again) and see if different fuel makes difference.

Just a hint, make sure ure useing vauxhall oil or similer as its thicker, Mobil 1 and oils similer are too thin. Everyone i know who uses thin oils have probs like that after a really short time, stay away from them!!!

Like Ash says. If you use Mobil 1 make sure its the thicker 15w 50 version.

Vauxhall synth supposed to be very good.

Run it on Vauxhall SYNTH oil and it will be quieter. I find mine gets tappity after about 5000 miles, probably only really noticeable when the engine is hot. I put it down to the oil slipping out of grade a little as it breaks down and I change the oil every 6000 miles anyway.

My Vauxhall dealer is in the same mind about the frequent oil changes on the Z20LET, better to fork out £40 every now and then than have to replace a turbo or suchlike later on in the life of the car

Yep they all do it, the Z22se is even worse. Mine sounds like a diesel first thing in the morning.

I use Vaux synth and change it and filter every 3000 miles, but it`s still tappety when hot.

Mine should be running Vaux synthetic as I just had cam shaft seals and sump gasket done a few weeks ago.
