    Decat on ecotec ?

is it possable to fit a decat pipe to an ecotec engine 1.8 16v ecotec to be precise , cant find one anywhere wondered if it was possable or does it affect the engine in some way , hopefully just more power ?

Should result in more power. It wouldn't pass an MOT though.

If u fit a de-cat pipe you will have to re-fit the cat for MOT time, then swap it back over once its passed the emissions test.

well i know of three people with decats and all say it didnt make a noticable difference, so given that a sports cat is just slightly less restricted than a standard cat i would assume this to be an expensive mod with low results.

then again if you decided to bang on a 4 brancher, decat and full stainless system together i would imagine they would compliment each other well enough for a good increase in performance?
    Cheers Rich.

You can't change things like that on an ECU controlled engine, the ECU alters everything itself so that it is clean & running properly .... In theory neways
