One way I heard someone clean the Air filter was to spray it with Carb Cleaner, and Blast it through with high pressure air (Petrol Station) then re-apply the spray oil that comes with it.

The PVD filter is made by Pipercross, you can get a cleaning kit from Halfords, which consists of a solvent to clean out the old and dirt, then you have a fresh aerosol can to re-oil it.

I'm sure the instructions tell you not to use an airline to dry the filter, as the blast of high pressure air can damage the foam

I use a courtenay filter and re-covered it with oil, later i had massive problems with oil on the mass flow meter and it screwed my engine management (because the oil contaimenated it i think), took vauxhall 5 weeks to work out the mass meter was the problem. So careful with the oil.
