    ecotek

What are those ecotek valves like, do they improve performance and are they hard to fit? Any fitting advice/pics would go down a treat!

It will improve your fuel economy and can pep up the way the car pull's lower down.

It's installed in the emission control pipe on the Astra G, and in the brake servo pipe past the the non return valve on earlier Astra's.

I tried one of these, but could not live with the noise even after adjusting the valve. Having said that I did install mine in the brake servo pipe on my 2.2, maybe this was the wrong place reading mantamagics post above!!!????

I'm with Matt on this one

I've played with these things on various cars. The only time I managed to get an improvement was on an old carb'd vehicle which was running rich anyway.

I even fitted one to my brothers old 2.0 mondeo at his request, it was sent back for a full refund within 48 hours!

If these things were any good....the major manufacurers wouldn't spend millions on developing inlet manifold technology and inlet manifold runner control sytems. instead they'd be banging on these little buggers for a fraction of the cost.

as far as i'm aware, they can be fitted anywhere on the inlet manifold system where you're able to tap into a vacuum line.

I had one on my old Renault and it did return better MPG week after week. Try it! If it doesn't work you get a full money back guarantee, what else does these days?
