Got a couple of questions on the astra coupe if anyone can answer them. With climate control set on auto, what does it actually do? its suppose to provide optimum settings for the car but doesn't really explain how it does this. how does it now which vents to put out heat and where to switch it off and how fast the fans go? while having it on auto i noticed that while the car was warming up, the fan was quite slow, when the engine heated up a bit the fans kicked up a few notches. the vent near the driver side window was open whilst the one near the driver in the centre of the car was not.
whilst on auto, the back window heating can be switched on and off however the front window heating when switched on disengages the auto. can auto detect the front windows needing air blowing on them?
as for the central locking. i've just found out that if the car is locked by inserting the key, holding it in the position closes all the windows. if you then turn the key again it engages the dead locking too. my question is, does this also set the alarm and immobilser? if it doesn't then how can this be done as pressing the locking button on the remote didn't do anything. is there anyway to use the total window closure feature and still have the alarm and immobilser engaged?
sorry for all the questions but i'm so very consfused. Thanks in advance
