[Car security] Stoplock Pro - Any good?

I've got a 2.2 Astra SRi but I never go anywhere except work as I'm worried to leave it in carparks. It's stupid and I should be using the car, not being worried about parking it.

Anyway, I know the Astra has lots of security already but I'm thinking of getting a steering wheel lock more for a deterrant than anything else?

Does anyone have one and does it fit okay on the MkIV?

Also, would the StopLock AirBag be the better one to get?

I have a Stoplock Pro on my car. It is good and solid and fits the MK4 airbag wheel OK. I think the Pro is the only Thatcham Cat 3 approved one out of the range as well.

A good visible deterent and a handy 'self defense' item having a nice big metal bar in the car

How much did you get it for Steve?

Am I right in thinking around 35 notes?

I have a Stop Lock pro & have never had any problems, it fits quite well over my steering wheel, so you shouldn't have ne problems on yours coz it should be a very similar wheel

£35 is about the right price. Well worth having, because a big yellow bar through the steering wheel says 'this is car a bugger to steal, eff off' far better than a little blinking light

any single bar that goes thru the steering wheel is a waist of time...the tea-leaf can cut your steering wheel to get it off and the first thing he will do is give it a good hard yank with the bar to snap your steering lock...i did have all the times for breaking steering locks off and beleive you me it was a eye opener..
