    Alloy wheel repair....

Does any one know the best places to get alloys repaird... ive quiet seriously cracked and bend about 3inchs of the rim

as you can see its bent on that side, and its cracked on the underside of the bend!

is its possible to rebend and TIG Weld it?

    Cheers
    Iain

I know a company that will repaire minor dents, But if it looks even remotely cracked they will not touch it for health and saftey reasons. I seriously think you should take there advice and buy a new one. By the time you have bent the wheel back and attempted to tig fill the crack you will have seriously comprimised the strenth of the wheel and all the heat treatment prosesses that go into its production. You could find that area of the wheel turns very brittle from work hardening during bending. Its not worth the risk mate. You wouldent put a cheep rated tyre on your car and do 120 mph would you? If not for your sake, but the saftey of your passengers and other road users, bin it.
