I like all the Ford Mondeo STs, and with the ST220 Ford have finally eclipsed the Vectra GSi.

Hopefully next year's hot Vectra will put that right.

The St220 is a fine car

your dad opted for it at the right time really, as the changes in the post june03 cars make a big difference.

The 6 speed box works well, and the 3.0V6 sounds great

get it......and drive it like you stole it, the car will thank you for it

Well it arrived yesterday, wot a motor. never realised it was an estate though :? . It's so smooth, think that's got a lot to do with the V6 though.
Now i know what it feels like to beat a BMW, ha ha , even if it was an old 1, he seemed to be stuck in the BMW lane no cars on the inside it just didnt want to budge.

The current level Maverick does indeed use a variant of the 3.0 duratec Ve engine. It's NOT the same power output.

The Mav is 197ps where as the St is 226Ps
