    0-60

Have you ever timed how long it takes you to get from 0-60 in your car?

I did the other night. I've got a 1.6 16 valve SXi Astra and it took me 11 seconds. My friend recorded himself going from 0-60 on the way to work and he's got a 1.8 16 valve SXi and it took him 8 seconds.

I tryed it the other day but my car sucks as bad as my driving. It was wet and I was trying for the 8.3 seconds that vauxhall recon the 2.2 is good for. The trouble is geting the power through the front wheels withought spinning and the traction control taking the ****ing piss and cutting the power. Best I got was 9 seconds with a 5mph rolling start.

Maybe I should try it in the dry but you dont see many dry days living in manchester

I picked up my traction control button and dash facia from vauxhall today, so when steve very kindly sorts me out with the wiring loom Ill be laughing at my front tyres!

Tried mine in the dry a few weeks ado on a straight quite country road.

Managed and 8.23secs, including a semi-fluffed 1st to 2nd gear change (good old VX gearbox :? ) - about right for a 2.2 me thinks.

It's difficult to with the 2.2 gear box to judge when to snatch 3rd, so could possible get a wee bit quicker.

Normaly between the 1.8 and the 1.6 no difference for the 0 to 100km/h (0 to 60), but after yes...

If I found my video I post here
