    Wiper arms removal

Anyone know how to remove the wiper arms from the Astra G? I had the 2 bolts taken out but the arms were kinda stuck to the spindle so I decided not to force em. I have an idea for a DIY single wiper conversion

    Sod the tool tbh

undo the nut a few turns and then fold the wiper arm up. Grip the arm and waggle it gently in a few random directions.

That will be enough to free the arm from the taper on the spindles, then lower the arm again and remove the nut.
Then its just a case of lifting the arm again and removing from the spindle.

    30 secs per arm usually

just don't go mad and swing on the arm

    Why doesn't that surprise me?

Another trick I found is to crack the nut and wind it off a little, then grip the wiper arm base and give the nut a GENTLE tap with a hammer, should break the taper

I would rather use the tool, as sometimes it is hard to get them off and i'm heavy handed so wouldn't to break anything

The reason I got it cos at renault you cant get the espace rear one off anyother way, no 'wiggling' helps what so ever.
