    astra mk3 buying help..

iv been looking at a few mk3's as a runabout till i get a coupe, just been to see a local mk3

    http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www...photo=1&sort=3

its in good condition all round, very nice interior, its got full vaux service history up until 2002, it was bought and serviced at a local dealer from new, this guys had it since 2002 and has done over 40k in it.

he says it needs an engine as his mechanic told him, and as he does so much millage he needs a newer car, he really didnt no much at all about cars and engines

engine: he says that it misfires, it took a few turns to start, didnt rev off too well in 1st, but once in second it drove really well, i rekon it might be timing seriously out or somthing to do with compresion, even if i need a new engine this could be sorted for 300-400

rest of the cars in good cond. love the interior,
so what doe you mk3 boys rekon, i haggled him to 600, but this will only be final once i get a good look in the morning..
    withdrew the cash..
    so what you rekon

It almost seems too cheap - do you want the hassle of trying to source another engine and getting it put in?
