had an insurence quote from endsleigh

£1000 for me on the astra,

fine i said, does it matter about the alloys, no, doesnt add anything

then i ask about the irmscher kit, i make it quite clear it's a factory option..

then say they'll get back to me..

a few moments later... with the irmscher kit.. it'll cost..

    wait for it

£1000 extra, yes thats right EXTRA!! so thats £2000 in all, lol their having a laugh!

apprently once the word the kit is added to my group 4 car, i become a high risk group... i find that rather insulting!

    won't be using them then!

    feck me!!!
I thought paying ~1500Australian $$$ was bad enough (that'd be about 650 quid), but 1000? WTF? Do you guys have real high theft rates or something? Thats bloody high!

well i'd expect to pay £1000ish, as i'm only 21, and have only been driving for two years, also i've not no NCB.

i just think it's mad that they think they can add £1000 for a factory option. but i couldn't figure out why alloys didn't make any diffrence??

Sarah has used them for her cars for a few years, we brought the golf and had to change her policy half way through they made it very difficult to change companies as we would have lost a lot of money!! Also by changing policy rather then adapt the exsisting poilcy so we could change companies at the end of the 6 months they made us start a new one for a year!!!

We wont be using them again!!!!

    Try Brentacre....01792 650933

Speak to John or Kerry, they seem to be very good!!

Let us know how you get on mate.

I have to change my insurance provider because they will not insure me for any more mods that I wil be doing to the car. My question is this. I`m paying by direct debit (didn`t charge any interest for this at all). How do I stand if I change now, the policy started in June this year and it`s with Prudential. Cheers people.

Speak to Phil Newman at HIC. I can guarantee he will beat any quote you've ever been given by miles. and they don't charge any extra for ANY external mods at all (alloys, bodykits, etc...) or engine mods up to 10bhp extra. I'm with them and i got quoted £800 (yes that's right) less than the next best quote from another provider.

You have to ask to speak to phil newman though.

numbers - 08451290290 what are you waiting for!?
