    Did someone say VX220?

Good points - very quick and loads of fun.
Bad points - hard to get in and out of.
Yes it really is a 1.3!!

Regal took me out for a spin in that car as I was interested in tuning my 2.2 but the extra noise put me off as I use my car most days for work at the mo (until I get a work car.)

At the time it was putting out ~180bhp.

Go for the VX220 Matey, there are a fantastic car, stuff the Evo. I saw one the other day in York it was a VX220 Turbo in Yellow, It was absoulty lightning fast, followed him for about 5 seconds, Couldnt keep up in my 205 so i gave up.

Seriously though, once ive got the 888 and its payed for, im going for the VX220, but the SPRINT Version thats out next year. I carnt wait. If you have the dosh, id wait for the Sprint version. Thats gonna be one hell of a car when it comes out. 0.60 in 3 seconds.

Go to your nearest VX dealer and ask for a Test drive of the VX220 Turbo and see what you think.

I would say it depends on whether your buying it as a second car, a friend of mine is a Vauxhall salesman and we borrowed one for a day.

The first thing I noticed was what a sod it was to get in and out of. But once your in it does feel very responsive. It was nice for a short while to use, and would be excellent for weekend use. But considering the state of our road surfaces I wouldn't want to use it for everyday travelling, there just not practical enough. As I said they make a stunning second car.

Why not stick to Vauxhall and get GSi or Coupe Turbo, both excellent cars.

Forget the EVO, do you really want to service a car every 6000 miles???

Taken a 220Turbo out and boy was it quick. A little too un-predictable IMO and it never really feels that safe in such a small car.

Seeing as you didn't specify you wanted to stick to Vauxhall, I'm going to throw the Lotus Elise in at this point. Go for a 111 or if you can find one, and Exige. VX performance and a little bit more useable IMO.
