    Tyre pressure

What tyre pressure have peoploe got set on their Turbo coupes (Running 215/40/17's)

The book says 36psi at the front and 34psi at the rear but when I had 2 new tyres fitted I was told to set them both at 30psi!?

    Any ideas???

I had mine serviced recently, the garage told me my pressures were to high and had reset them to 36 psi front, 34 rear. I found the steering terrible, like i had flat tyres.

The pressures from the manual are:

for up to up to 3 persons - 39 psi front, 36 psi rear

fully laiden - 44 psi front, 49 psi rear

Personally i find 42 front, 38 rear suits my driving style, im wearing out the outside edges of the front tyres with anything lower (the trackings fine). By the way ive got Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres 215/40/17'S

To allow the coupe turbo to drive nice you need to set the front to 39psi and rear 36psi.(COLD)

Anything less and it feels floppy and like metioned above like you have flat tires.

I was concered that after a B-road thrash the fronts could end up as high as 45psi, the tire wall states on the F1 GSD2 that 44psi is the max and the GSD 3 51psi. I spoke to vaux cust in Lutton and they confirmed that 39 is correct and that Goodyear say the 44psi rating is not for the UK.

Phew! me having visions of a blow out at 140mph or something....
