    Snapped Spring

    I've jus discovered that the bottom of 1 of ma rear springs has snapped, dont have a clue how long it's been like this. it's a 96 mk3 5dr.

    Due to lack of money my options are;
    -Replace rear spring (do both sides need to be replaced?)
    -Buy a set of lowering springs and get shocks later.

    What do u guys thinks? Also where would i be able to get a standard replacement spring?

    Cheers

    You'll need to change both side at the same time, unless you like driving through hedges. For a cheap fix, get down the scrapyard, should be able to get a pair for under £25

    If you fit lowering springs, as long as you don't drop the car lower than 60mm you don't need shortened dampers and the standard ones will do for now
