    Flashing Fog Lamps?

I have seen this done before and it makes a great deal of difference.

People have wired their fog lamps into the full beam, therefore it can be switched on so that when you flash someone, the fog lamps flash too.

Im relatively good with electrical wiring etc, but im not sure how to tackle this one.

I know that simply linking the positive feeds of the fogs to the full beam does not work and causes a fuse to blow.

I assume i would require a relay, and if so, does anyone know the wiring configuration for this, as normally I have found that the diagram on reverse packaging of relays is 80% wrong!!!

    Any help appreciated......

You would have to wire a 12v relay into the full beam. Then run the battery(fused) through the relay to the fog lights.

Or instead of running straight from the battery you could try and find the positive wire for the fog lamps before it goes through the standard fog lamp relay, but that would be harder than the first option.

Get in the fuse board and find the two relays, one for the main beam lamps and one for the fogs.

You need to find the wire which triggers the main beam lamp relay and also the one for the for the fog beam lamp relay. Then you link from the main beam one to the fog beam one with a DIODE (very important). This makes the fogs come on when the main beam is selected.

If you don't put the diode in the main beam will come on when you put the fog lights, interesting effect, but the Police might want a chat
