Scientists at Microsoft have been looking into why more women aren't using computers at home.
After extensive research, they have found that women weren't comfortable with the peripherals supplied with their PCs.
Having been designed by men, they particularly found that the standard style mouse was uncomfortable for women to use. This just didn't sit right in the hand for women, so using a PC was a bit of an alien experience.
After 2 years in the lab, they have redesigned their Optical Mouse and come up with a 'female friendly' desktop mouse
