    Transplants

What would you guys recomend to do.
When the warrinty runs out I either gone sell the car on to get another astra, either a GSI or Coupe or the new Mk5 or keep the one I have and change the engine. I really want to go for the V6 but its not straight forward transpalnt and but buy the time the warranty is uo a few should have been done and expertise on this should be pretty good. but what others are avalible. Dont foncy going the calibra turbo route as the engine older than the car and can not see point of doing this on a newer car. so what are my options.

    V6 mate, can't beat the sound of a 'V'

And by the time your warranties out mat's might just have been finished so RJ will have the knowledge.

Could go turbo route but as you say has to be eco vesion and it will be compaired to pete's and seeing as his is a great bit of kit it's a hard act to follow

Your right about the sound of a V6, thats my attraction to them. just thinking of cost and simplicity really and realiablity of conversion. Danni is hooked on the MK5 and wants me or her to have one. Chances there will be a MK5 in the house hold will be high just thinking about what I want from a car. What I could gather from a feature I read in TV a while back the astra coupe engine transplant into a none turbo car was very difficult to do. and it was easier to do a turbo conversion to the 2.0 engine. no 100% sure on this though as the artical was a while back.

i've never seen the point in sticking in an engine if you can got out and buy that in (ie mk4 turbo conversion = GSi/SRiT).

Your right there, Just options are limited with what I would like. The mk4 aint really been a car that people are doing silly or fresh engine conversions to, there aint that many really that have had them done really is there.

Doesn't the Vauxhall V6 need twin turbos? I know there was a twin turbo manifold on the GM parts list for the Calibra.
