    Cleaning Wheel sensors

Hopefully I will be having the Astra up on the wheel free ramp this weekend so I can get the wheels off and clean up the wheel sensors. my aim is to stop the TC and ABS lights coming on while i'm driving. Could anyone who has done this already help me out by letting me know where the sensors are situated (and what to look for) and what is the best method to clean them up, wd40 and a bit of rag???. if this doesn't work it's off to Dixons for new sensors i feel.

not sure for a Mk3 but the sensors on the Mk4 are located just behind the inside of the wheel on the hub, it will have a corrugated pipe running to it. Unfortunately on the Mk4 if cleaning it doesnt help you will have to replace the whole unit as the sensor is built into the hub, a cost of about £150 :? its a common problem (ive done both front ones on mine )
